Dear Representative Onder/Senator Schmitt/Senator Hawley,

Your silence messages deafening complicity.

On January 7, Renee Nicole Good was murdered by ICE in Minneapolis in her car on a public street in a residential neighborhood, shot in the face by an officer who came around from the back of her vehicle.  Videos documented the event, eye witnesses described it.  Actions by ICE were in no way acceptable. Any police training outlines procedures involving cars; ICE violated nearly all.

This is outrageous.  Yet you have made no comment.

Even as details were being gathered Wednesday afternoon, the president (and JD Vance and Kristi Noem) repeatedly lied and distorted the event, claiming Ms. Good was “a professional agitator….who then violently, viciously, and willfully ran over the ICE Officer….”   None of this is true.  The intentional mis-representation of facts is obvious redirection seeking to sabotage the truth and slander the victim.

This is repulsive.  On this egregious offense, again you have made no comment.

As a federal representative, sitting in silence equates to compliance and concession, a nod of agreement by taking no action(s) otherwise.  This appears to be your clear intention.  Should you have no position about the event and the actions of ICE, compassion could be expressed for the citizens of Minneapolis and Ms. Good’s family.   With the second situation, however, your complacency strongly shows support for lies and deception being produced and circulated by the White House.  There is no middle ground; either you support the betrayal or you dissent effectively from it.

Staying silent confirms acceptance.  Disgraceful.
